The purpose of the Friends of the Waterboro Public Library is to act as an advocate for good library service and use; to promote fund raising and volunteer activities to benefit the library; to enhance the Waterboro Public Library facility, including its physical plant; the acquisition of books and technology.
At this time, the primary focus of our energy is the building of a new public library in Waterboro. We are grateful for all who support those efforts. We have begun a Capital Campaign that is focused on the referendum that will be placed before the people of Waterboroin November2010. We have formed a partnership with Eaton Peabody Consulting Group to provide professional assistance in raising $1m in private funds and presenting our case to the town.The FOWPL meet every Monday evening at 7:00pm at the Heritage Company, 2nd floor.
